Pool Rules and Guarded Schedule

Pool Guarded Hours of Operation

Note - Unguarded hours: (When no lifeguards are on duty, those are the unguarded hours)

6:30am until lifeguard hours begin (12PM*/3PM*) - see/complete Unguarded Waiver Form for rules/access, must be 18 years & up to access unguarded hours. Children under the age of 18 are permitted to participate during unsupervised hours if they are accompanied by an adult or guardian who is at least 18 years old.

 

  1. Absolutely no children under the age of 18 are permitted in the pool without a parent or adult over 18 who have agreed to take responsibility for that parent’s child. * Parents and Guardians are fully responsible for children brought into the pool area.
  2. Adults must not swim alone. *
  3. An adult resident must accompany all guests. Residents are responsible for the conduct of their guests. Guests are limited to four (4) per household (including all guests, children/adult and swimming or not) during guarded hours. NO GUESTS DURING UNGUARDED HOURS!
  4. No running or boisterous play on pool deck or in the bathroom area. *
  5. No diving, the water is too shallow. *
  6. No profanity/inappropriate language or fighting is permitted.
  7. Absolutely NO glass allowed in the pool or on the deck. * If glass is broken in the pool, the pool must be drained and cleaned. The expense of draining the pool may be the responsibility of the individual that brought glass into the pool area.
  8. NO person under the influence of alcohol or drugs shall use the pool. *
  9. Brightleaf Pool is a smoke-free facility. Smoking is not permitted while inside the pool gates. (includes vaping, e-cig…)
  10. No person with skin, eye, ear, or nasal infection is allowed in the pool. *
  11. No person with a communicable disease is allowed in the pool. *
  12. No animals or pets are allowed. *
  13. All individuals must shower before entering the pool.
  14. Incontinent people must wear swim diapers or other attire designed to prevent leakage while immersed in water. If an accident occurs (vomit or defecation) everyone must exit the pool immediately and will not be able to re-enter until pool management allow.
  15. Individuals entering the pool must be dressed in swim attire. The term “swim attire” refers to clothing designed for swimming purposes that is made out of a traditional swimsuit material, e.g. lycra, nylon, polyester, spandex. No cotton, cotton derivatives, denim, or other material is permitted. Thongs, cutoffs, and street clothing are not allowed. Rubber soled shoes are permitted.
  16. If you bring food or beverage items, you are responsible for cleaning up any spills before you leave. Please use the containers provided for trash and recyclables (no liquids please!). Cleaning up will prevent bees. Pool/amenity staff will inspect all coolers upon entry.
  17. No eating, drinking or chewing gum while in the pool.
  18. Furniture is not permitted in the pool.
  19. As soon as lightning is seen or thunder is heard, everyone must exit the pool and wait a minimum of 30 minutes from the last lightning or thunder before re-entering.
  20. Swimming flotation devices are permitted in the pool only with the permission of the Pool Manager with the exception of baby rings/vests/floaties/bubbles/kid swimmers. (no large rafts or floats)
  21. No skateboards, rollerblades, scooters, bikes, heelys, etc. on the pool deck.
  22. No music boxes or loud music devices permitted.
  23. All accidents, no matter how minor, must be reported to the Pool Manager.
  24. Special scheduled events can, from time to time have precedence over regular pool use.
  25. All homeowners must be current in their HOA assessments in order to gain access to the pool.
  26. All members are required to check in at the desk upon entering the pool area and register any guests, including name and address information.
  27. You MUST bring your Key Fob for admission to the pool. The key that has been issued to you is for your individual use. Lending keys to other owners or non-residents is forbidden and will result in suspension of privileges to the lender.
